摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a car squat phenomenon from occurring, by making damping force in a hydraulic shock absorber change over to a high damping force position from its low setting one in time of sudden starting or acceleration, while constituting it so as to keep up the high damping force for a given period long. CONSTITUTION:Engine acceleration 29 found out on the basis of a clutch signal 27 following a car start and an engine speed 28 is compared with reference acceleration 32 found out on the basis of a car speed 31 by a comparator 33, and when a level ratio of the engine acceleration 29 against that of the reference acceleration 32 is larger than the reference value, a timer circuit 34 outputs an antisquat signal to a gate circuit 30 as long as a portion for the setting time. The gate circuit 30 compensates the antisquat signal to make it into a signal commensurate to a high damping force setting position N or H even if a damping force setting select switch 1 is situated in a low damping force setting position S as well as if a select reference signal 2 is of a low damping force select reference signal, and makes it to keep up the high damping force as long as a portion for timer-operated time 34. With this constitution, a car squat phenomenon is preventable.
