PURPOSE:To prevent fade without causing deterioration of the strength of frictional brake member nor deterioration of abrasion-resistance, by mixing proper amount of paraffin together with binder with basic friction material such as asbestos. CONSTITUTION:Frictional braking material is formed by mixing proper amount of paraffin together with binder in basic friction material such as asbestos. Preferably such paraffin as paraffin wax, paraffin scale which will flaten the temperature characteristic of friction factor of frictional member can be employed. Preferably, the mixing ratio is 1-3vol%. Preferably, the binder is synthetic resin, phenol resin, etc. and if vol% is higher than 15%, desired strength level can be achieved. |
