PURPOSE:To subject safely and highly efficiently an object to be treated such as metal or the like which is completed of high-temp. high-pressure treatment in a gaseous atmosphere to hot hydrostatic molding by cooling quickly said object by convectionally circulating gaseous flow in the state of the high pressure in succession to the above-mentioned treatment. CONSTITUTION:An object to be treated which is completed of a high-temp. high-pressure treatment in a gaseous atmosphere is subjected, in succession thereto, to quick cooling by convectionally circulating gaseous flow in the state of the high pressure in a high-pressure vessel with a hot hydrostatic press treatment in which sintering, compaction, etc. of the object consisting of ceramics or metal are accomplished in the high-temp. high-pressure gaseous atmosphere thereby preventing the damage, etc. of the high-pressure vessel and reducing the cycle time. The device in the above-mentioned method is made into the constitution consisting in preheating the object on the outside of the high-pressure vessel, enclosing the object with the gas in the high-temp. state, transferring the object into the high-pressure vessel, subjecting the object to the above-mentioned treatment, decreasing the pressure after the above-mentioned quick cooling, taking out the object together with the atmosphere gas, cooling further the object according to need and taking the object out of the gaseous atmosphere, by which the highly efficient module of the hot hydrostatic press device is realized.
