PURPOSE:To develop an automatic treating device for electrodeposition painting which changes over quickly paints and is simple in automation mechanism by disposing plural electrodeposition painting tanks as well as a pretreating tank and post treating tank in circulating positions and subjecting works to an electrodeposition painting treatment while moving continuously the works in a work conveying path provided above said tanks. CONSTITUTION:Plural electrodeposition paint tanks 4a, 4b, 4c in succession to a pure water treating tank 3 as a pretreatment and a paint recovering tank 5 are arrayed on one row and a washing tank 6 and a rinsing shower 7 are placed in the part where the direction changes. A bright dipping tank 8, a rinsing tank 7, a washing shower 10, a setting tank 11 for removing water drops and an air blower 12 are arrayed in succession thereto. A conveying path 2 for works 26 passing right above these tanks is provided so as to return again to the original position. The works 26 are hung to vertically movable hangers 25 in a loading position L by a central driving and balancing device 20. The works are electrodeposition-painted in the desired electrodeposition paint tanks and are passed through the post treatment stage, then the works are removed from the path 2 in an unloading position U.
