PURPOSE:To obtain the braking effect in response to a car speed by decreasing the target deceleration as the car speed is increased based on the car speec during a running state with car engine brake. CONSTITUTION:A valve position sensor 56 outputs a throttle opening signal VC indicating the opening theta of a throttle valve 54 to an I/O port 60 via an A/D converter 58. A CPU68 processes the signal fed to the I/O port 60 in accordance with the program previously stored in a ROM62 while utilizing the primary memory function of a RAM70. Also, it feeds a control signal CA to adjust the speed change ratio of a continuously variable transmission 14 to a speed change ratio control valve 38 via a D/A converter 74 and a drive circuit 76. In addition, it feeds a pressure adjusting valve 44 via the D/A converter 74 and the drive circuit 76. Accordingly, the deceleration is controlled while running with the engine brake applied. |
