Device on a weapon with a cylinder mechanism where the bolt-head is locked by a separate lock ring

A chamber bolt (54) device on a weapon equipped with a cylinder mechanism of the type that can opened and closed by means of the linear motion of a dumbbell on the barrel with the rear end of the chamber (29) at a distance from the back end of the barrel (24). In the area in the barrel between the rear end of the barrel and the rear end of the chamber there is a chamber (27) for a turnable bolt-head (28) on a bolt. Behind the chamber in the barrel there is a separate lock-ring (23) between a stop-bolt (25) in the case and the back end of the barrel. The lock-ring is furnished with heels and tracks, and the bolt-head is furnished with corresponding claws which can pass through the track in the lock-ring and be turned to a locked position in front of the heels in the ring. Increased precision is attained by the bolt with the bolt-head being led into the barrel and securely locking it in this position, thus causing it to function as a stiffening connection between the barrel and the case so that if there is vibration in the barrel when the cartridge detonates, these parts of the weapon are unable to touch each other.
