PURPOSE:To orderly provide an operating cable along the side face of an outboard motor body by stretching said operating cable in a direction nearly perpendicular to the swinging direction of a control arm. CONSTITUTION:A clamp bracket 12 is fixed to the stern board 11 of a hull, and a swivel bracket 14 is supported, inclinedly movably around a horizontal axis, by the clamp bracket 12 through a tilting shaft 13. A propelling unit 16 acting as an outboard motor body is supported, steerably around a vertical axis, by the swivel bracket 14 through a steering shaft 15. A driving pulley 35 and a driven pulley 42 are interlocked with the swinging motion of a control arm 23, and are also connected to each other by means of two operating cables 43, which transmit the swinging motion of the control arm 23 to a trim tab 41. These operating cables 43 are stretched along the side faces of the propelling unit 16. |
