<p>PURPOSE:To provide a structure in which the temperature sensing delay of the automatic temperature regulator is prevented, and the safety device is not actuated under normal operating conditions but has a good response by making the clearance between the flange surface and the heater wire short on the automatic temperature regulator side and long on the safety device side. CONSTITUTION:While the water is being heated, the temperature at the automatic temperature regulator 8 is raised by the heat conduction from the heater flange 2 and its own heat generation. Since the water temperature under the heater pipe 3 is low due to the inability of being heated and there is a heat dissipation from the flange, the temperature at the automatic temperature regulator 8 is delayed its rise considerably behind the water temperature. By positioning the starting point of winding of the heater wire 7 to which the regulator 8 is attached closer to the flange so as to increase the temperature of the flange to prevent the actuation delay of the regulator 8, and also by making the heater terminal rod 4b on the side where the safety device 9 is attached longer than the terminal rod 4a of the regulator 8 side, the temperature rise of the safety device 9 can be made lower than that of the regulator 8, ensuring the prevention of the false operation of the safety device 9 under normal operating conditions.</p> |
