JOINING METHOD OF WATERPROOF SHEET

PURPOSE:To increase the adhesive strength of a joining section by overlapping and fusion-bonding the end sections of sheets molded from a mixture of a thermoplastic elastomer having a specific composition and an ethylene polymer having specific density. CONSTITUTION:The end sections of waterproof sheets molded from a mixture of (A) a 75-35pts.wt. thermoplastic elastomer manufactured by thermally treating 90-40pts.wt. monoolefin group copolymerized rubber and 10-60pts.wt. polyolefin plastics dynamically and partially crosslinking them and (B) a 25-65pts.wt. ethylene polymer having 0.910-0.940g/cm<3> density are overlapped, and the overlapped section is contact-bonded while being heated. Said copolymerized rubber and said polyolefin plastics are crosslinked partially by dynamic heat treatment in such a manner that an organic peroxide in approximately 0.05-1.0wt% is added to a 100pts.wt. material to be treated and kneaded at a temperature where the half-life of the organic peroxide reaches to one min or less.
