PURPOSE:To detect the movement extent of a magnetic detecting element accurately over the entire range of a gap part by forming a couple of mutually opposite magnetic pole surfaces so that they are not in parallel, and providing the magnetic detecting element movably between both magnetic pole surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The couple of magnetic pole surfaces 2 and 2 are tapered in the opposite directions; the distance between end parts at one side is shortest to generate a large magnetic field, and increased gradually to the other-side end parts to decrease the magnetic field gradually. Then, the magnetic detecting element 6 which moves nearly at right angles to lines 5 of magnetic force is provided at the gap part 3 surrounded with said couple of magnetic pole surfaces 2 and 2. Consequently, the simple constitution detects the movement extent of the magnetic detecting element over the entire range of the gap part. |
