PURPOSE:To detect the viscosity of fluid to be measured on on-line basis and to measure various kinds of fluid which differ in viscosity accurately through one line by connecting two flowmeters having different error rates in series, and calculating the flow rate difference between the both. CONSTITUTION:Capacity type flowmeters 1 and 2 which differ in the percentage of variation in measured value to the viscosity of the fluid to be measured are connected to a conduit 5 in series, and pulse oscillators 3 and 4 are fitted to their output shafts to output flow rate pulses P1 and P2 proportional to rotations of rotary parts. A correcting circuit 6 calculates a correcting value based upon the viscosity of the fluid to be measured and adds it to the measured value to generate a flow rate signal, which is supplied to a display meter 7.
