PURPOSE:To provide the titled agent which can improve the wettability of the surfaces of fillers and the dispersibility of the fillers and has excellent safety and stability, consisting of a reaction product between a tetraalkyl titanate and an N-acylamino acid. CONSTITUTION:A product obtd. by reacting 1mol of a tetraalkyl titanate of the formula (wherein R is a 1-8C alkyl, a 5-7C cyclic alkyl) such as tetraisopropyl titanate with 1-3mol of an N-acylamino acid (e.g. N-acetylglycine, N-lauroylalanine or N-oleylaspartic acid) at room temp. to 100 deg.C for several hr, is used as a modifier. Pref. 0.05-20wt% said modifier is added to an inorg. filler such as calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide or asbestos.
