PURPOSE:To quicken the response by dividing a gate time into a plural number, counting a measured pulse number and correcting and displaying the count pulse number in the gate time in response to the change in the pulse number in the gate time. CONSTITUTION:A counter 8 counts a pulse inputted from a terminal 6 at each 1/N time of a gate time divided by a timer 7, the pulse is shifted sequentially to registers RG91-9N as the count time elapses, and the pule number stored in the RG9N is erased from a storage section 9. The pulse number of each RG is inputted to an operating circuit 10. The circuit 10 compares the newest pulse number in the gate time inputted to the RG91 with the latest pulse number stored in the RG92-9N, discriminated the increment/decrement state and gives a command to a distributor 11 so as to correct the pulse number stored in the RG92-9N based on the result of discrimination. The distributor 11 rewrites and stores contents of the RG92-9N based on the command. The contents of the RG91 and RG2-9N corrected are added (12), latched (13) and displayed on a display 14.
