PURPOSE:To improve a processing speed by performing simultaneously necessary branching operation according to the states of elements constituting some condition without deciding a condition on the elements individually. CONSTITUTION:A multiplexer 4 is controlled normally to receive a zero input (c) and send an output (d), therefore f=e=a is obtained; and branching to an optional address specified by a microinstruction itself is performed. For example, when an arithmetic result or an unknown variable read out of another storage device is stored in an address modifying address 3 by microinstructions which are executed up to the (N-1)th microinstruction and the branch destination of a microinstruction itself needs to be changed by the (N)th microinstructions and after according to the state of the unknown variable, the control signal (g) of the multiplexer 4 is operated with the (N)th microinstruction and the input (b) of the multiplexer 4 is sent out as its output (d). Consequently, f=e=a+b is obtained, and 16 kinds of different branch destinations are obtained at a time without deciding the state of the unknown variable stored in the address modifying register 3, bit by bit.
