AUTOMATIC VOLTAGE REGULATOR

PURPOSE:To apply an X-ray tube with a voltage coincident with a voltage value for obtaining a sharp image for each of various techniques by estimating and removing variation in output voltage due to the internal impedance of an automatic transformer incorporated in an automatic voltage regulator. CONSTITUTION:An input signal circuit 2 generates a sigal corresponding to a source voltage 15, and this signal is supplied to an impedance constant generating circuit (ZGEN)3. This circuit calculates the secondary-side conversion internal impedance of the automatic transformer 1 based upon the movement of the tap position of the automatic transformer 1. On the other hand, a current constant generating circuit (IGEN)4 generates a signal corresponding to the desired secondary current of the automatic transformer 1 and a voltage constant generating circuit (VGEN)6 generate a signal corresponding to the desired secondary voltage of the transformer 1 in response to a signal supplied from a technique selection signal generation source 8. The output signal of the IGEN4 ad the output signal of the ZGEN3 are multiplied by each other through a multipying circuit 5 and the product corresponds to a voltage drop value corresponding to the movement extent of the tap position of the transformer 1 and is added 7 to the output signal of the VGEN6.
