PURPOSE:To make temperature distribution in the longitudinal direction of an extrusion screw equal, and to eliminate the need for maintenance by burying a heat pipe having high heat transfer properties extending over a rear end from the nose of the extrusion screw. CONSTITUTION:A heat pipe 2 having high heat transfer properties is buried extending over a rear end from the nose of an extrusion screw 1 for an extrusion molding machine 3. The heat pipe 2 is constituted as shown in the fig. 5, and 7 represents a heating side seal, 8 a metallic wire wick, 9 a pipe body, 10 a pitch spiral pipe, 11 a cooling side seal and 12 a liquid sealing nozzle. The principle of operation is that a liquid 13 evaporates owing to heat applied to an evaporation section at a nose and the vapor of the liquid 13 transfers to a condensation section on the rear end side from the evaporation section along the direction of the arrow (a) because there is slight pressure difference in the vapor of the liquid. Accordingly, temperature distribution in the longitudinal direction of the extrusion screw can be made equal. |
