PURPOSE:To automatically set a copying magnification by calculating a vertical ratio and a horizotal ratio of an original and a transfer form, respectively, selecting a small magnification from both ratios, and storing the selected magnification in a magnification memory. CONSTITUTION:When a calculation mode key 110 is depressed, a calculation mode for calculating a copying magnification from the size of an original and the size of desired copying paper is set. A pilot lamp 110a displays a fact that a copying machine is in the course of the calculation mode. When a memory key 111 is turned on, vertical and horizontal sizes of the original and the copying form are set in variable magnification copying, the size is read in memories A-D, the magnification of each vertical and horizontal size is claculated, and a smaller magnification is stored in the memory. This smaller copying magnification is set automatically, therefore, a picture is copied without omitting it, and it is extremely advantageous for the operation. |
