PURPOSE:To use only one detector for an objective body and detect light by using an electrooptic effect element which varies in transmitted light intensity with a driving voltage. CONSTITUTION:Light from the objective body 1 is polarized linearly by a polarizer 4 and incident at 45 deg. to the direction of an electric field applied to the element 5 with electrooptic effect. The light incident to the element 5 is given the phase difference corresponding to the level of the voltage applied from a driving source 10 to electrodes 6 and 7, and light corresponding to the phase difference is passed through an analyzer 8 having the optical axis perpendicular to that of the polarizer 4 and then made incident to a photodetector 9 to lead out a signal corresponding to the quantity of the incident light. Further, the element 5 varies in transmitted light intensity according to variation in the applied driving voltage. |
