PURPOSE:The titled inexpensive material having antifouling properties, corrosion resistance, strength, wear resistance free from fear of pollusion, obtained by adding successively white carbon and pure copper powder to thermoplastic chlorinated polyethylene resin, molding it into a given thickness to give a sheet. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic chlorinated polyethylene resin obtained by polymerization of ethylene gas, having water absorption properties, is blended with a given amount of, preferably 5-20wt% plasticizer of the non-solvent type, namely, white carbon, and further with a given amount of, preferably 20-50wt% pure copper powder having 200-350 meshes, and extruded into about 3mm. thickness, molded, rolled by cooling rolls, to give a sheet material having about 0.1-2.0mm. thickness and about 200cm width. EFFECT:Having flexibility, improved characteristics of the above-mentioned purpose in all contact position in fresh water and seawater, nonpoisonous properties, showing no adhesion of algae, Hydroides elegans Haswell, etc. at all. |
