NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R<1> is methoxyl, methyl or phenyl; R<2> is H or lower alkyl; R<3> and R<4> are H or lower alky). EXAMPLE:Dimethyl s-propadien-1-yl phosphorothiolate of formula II. USE:An insecticide and acaricide. PREPARATION:A thionophosphoric acid ester of formula III, e.g. dimethyl propargyl phosphorothionate, is rearranged in the presence of a palladium based catalyst, e.g. dichlorobis(acetonitrile)palladium, preferably in an aprotic inert solvent, e.g. 1,2-dimethoxyethane, usually at room temperature -120 deg.C to afford the aimed compound of formula I . The amount of the catalyst to be used is preferably 0.1-10mol% based on the compound of formula III.
