PURPOSE:To reduce bending moment caused by displacement of the ground during the earthquake period by a method in which vertical forces are supported by a long pile, and the horizontal forces are supported by a short part embedment rigidly. CONSTITUTION:A steel tube 6 is joined with the head of a cast-in-place bottom- expanded reinforced concrete pile 7 and a footing 9, and in the portion other than the joined portion, the tube 6 is set with a small setting depth around the concrete pile 7 without contact. By the steel tube 6, the horizontal forces are supported, and by the concrete pile 7, the vertical forces are supported. The aperture 8 between the steel tube 7 and the concrete pile 7 is blanked or filled with soft soil. The vertical forces are supported by long piles, and the horizontal forces are supported by short parts rigidly with short embedment depths. The bending moment with the displacement of the ground during earthquake can thus be lessened. |
