PURPOSE:To provide a fluorescent display tube in which the luminescent characteristics of a fluorescent screen are improved by preventing moisture from being deposited on the fluorescent screen, by forming the fluorescent screen on an anode substrate by using a mixture obtd. by mixing WO3 powder with a sulfide phosphor treated with In2O3 to make it electrically conductive. CONSTITUTION:In a fluorescent display tube having a fluorescent screen formed on an anode substrate, the fluorescent screen is formed by using a mixture obtd. by mixing WO3 powder with a sulfide phosphor treated with In2O3 to make it electrically conductive. Since WO3 powder acts as a getter for removing moisture, the moisture is prevented from being deposited on the surface of the phosphor around WO3 powder so that the surface of the phosphor can be kept clean. Further, since WO3 powder continuously adsorbs moisture in a vacuum tube and keeping gas in the tube normal after forming the tube, the phosphor can exhibit sufficient luminescent power, the characteristics of the phosphor can be improved and an improvement in display quality and lowering in driving voltage become possible.
