PURPOSE:To provide the titled material which can display various colors, exhibits a rapid response to a decolorization reaction and has a long memory life and a long repeated display life, consisting of a polymer conts. a phenothiazine derivative. CONSTITUTION:The titled material consists of a polymer contg. a phenothiazine derivative of formula I (wherein R1 is H, alkyl, allyl, acyl; R2, R3 are each H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, cyano, amino, carboxyl., etc.). Examples of the polymers are homopolymers of a compd. of formula I and copolymers of a compd. of formula I with a vinyl or vinylidene compd. of formula II (wherein X is H, alkyl, halogen; Y is H, alkyl, allyl, halogen, carboxyl, cyano, etc.). Further, a mixture of said. polymer and a high-molecular resin binder can be used. The material can display various colors and has a long repeated display life and a long memory life.
