PURPOSE:To prevent a base stand from being bent, and to execute smoothly a disk attaching/detaching operation by coupling the base stand and an optical disk device through an elastic member for buffering a vibration at the time of sound recording and reproducing, and coupling them without using the elastic member at the time of detachment. CONSTITUTION:A holding member 10b which is movable on a housing 11 and interlocked by an interlocking lever 12 is engaged to a magnet 10a installed to a base stand 8. When installing and removing an optical disk 1, the base stand 8 for holding a turntable 4 and a disk installing mechanism 3 is supported firmly by the housing 11. Accordingly, when installing and removing the optical disk 1, even if an installing/removing force is applied to the base stand 8, it is not bent. After the installing operation of the optical disk 1 has been ended, the engagement of the holding member 10b and the magnet 10a is released, and the base stand 8 is coupled to the housing 11 through a elastic supporting member 9. Therefore, when a reproducing operation is being executed, an external vibration applied to the optical disk 1 is buffered by the elastic supporting member 9, generation of a track shift, a focus shift, etc. can be prevented, and good recording and reproducing characteristics can be obtained.
