The machine according to the invention comprises a frame 1 endowed with at least one cavity 2, at least one rotary tin-plating roller 3 partly immersed in a bath of molten tin contained in a trough 4 secured in the cavity 2 of the frame 1 and endowed with means of heating and at least one press roller 5 arranged vertically above the tin-plating roller 3 and in which the pressure which it exerts on the said tin-plating roller is adjustable and is characterised in that the trough 4 is made up of two walls inclined one towards the other and downwards, which are closed at their ends by partitions 9 and 10 and receive on their outer faces the means of heating and in that it is made of a nonoxidisable and refractory material. <IMAGE>
