PURPOSE:To replace easily a photosensitive drum by winding a protective sheet member around a part corresponding to image forming area of the photosensitive drum, and opening a part in the circumferential direction of this sheet member. CONSTITUTION:A protective sheet 3c is wound around the image forming area of a photosensitive drum 3 in the drum circumferential direction, and a winding end part 3c1 where upper and lower protective sheets are adhered to each other partially is set to dimensions K shorter than dimensions J of the sheet in the drum axial direction, and a cut-off part 3c2 where cuts or perforations 3c2 are provided in the direction of a revolving shaft of the drum is provided in the part on the winding start side of this adhesion part 3c1, and a display part 3c4 is provided in the part on the winding end side. This drum 3 is placed in a groove part 17a2 of a process unit, and the protective sheet 3c is torn off along cuts 3c2 to cut off the cut-off part 3c3, and the step part 3c4 is taken to pull up the protective sheet 3c in the direction of an arrow B, and then, the part wound around the drum 3 is slided on the drum surface in the direction of an arrow H and is peeled off the drum 3. |
