PURPOSE:To print multiple kinds of identification marks without need to change a processing program on the side of a main body device, by a method wherein the identification mark of the kind designated by an identification mark designating means is printed on a medium in response to an identification mark printing command. CONSTITUTION:The kind of an identification mark is set by a dip switch 6, and when the identification mark printing command for printing the identification mark on the medium is designated by a main body device 1, a printer senses the contents of the dip switch 6 by an MPU3 through an input port 9, and prints the mark while selecting the form of the mark to be outputted. |
