PURPOSE:To enable proper correction of the crank position by computing relative between the crank angle position by a crank angle position detecting means and that determined from the output of a pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 7 is made up of a CPU, an RAM and an A/D converter and a signal from a combustion pressure sensor 2 arranged in a combustion chamber 11 and a signal from an air volume sensor 5 are connected to the A/D converter. A signal of a crank angle sensor 3 is connected to an interface circuit contained in the control circuit 7 to learn the crank position. Then, deviation from the normal of a crank angle sensor signal is measured while fuel is cut while the crank angle sensor position is corrected during the normal operation and the engine control can be done with the combustion pressure as parameter. In addition, other controls are possible with the crank sensor position corrected as reference. |
