PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which is advantageous and convenient for smoothing a plated surface by providing a dezincification device which evaporates zinc by subjecting the zinc plating sticking to a strip to surface heating above gas wiper for regulating the amt. of galvanizing. CONSTITUTION:A strip 2 past a continuous annealing furnace 1 is subjected to hot dipping during the time when the strip is advanced diagonally downward from a snout 3 into molten zinc 4. The amt. of galvanizing is regulated by using a gas wiper 6 in the rising part and further the strip is subjected to an alloying treatment then the strip 2 is introduced into a dezincification device 9. The strip 2 in the device 9 is heated to the temp. at which the alloy layer is substantially not developed by using an indirect heater in an inert gaseous atmosphere of N2, etc. The projecting parts on the surface layer of the plating are thus evaporated and the surface is smoothed. |
