<p>PURPOSE:To recover and utilize efficiently the heat energy of gas while operating smoothly and safely an installation for cleaning blast furnace top gas by providing a heat exchanger between the dust catcher and dry dust removers of a blast furnace top gas system. CONSTITUTION:The high-temp. top gas of a blast furnace 1 passes through a dust catcher 2 and is cleaned by dry dust removers 31-35 and thereafter the gas enters a turbine 4 and drives the turbine to run a generator 5, thereby generating power. Combustible components such as CO are burned in hot stoves 71-73 and after the gas is heated therein, the gas is discharged in the form of low- temp. waste gas through a chimney 8. If the temp. of the furnace top gas is extraordinarily high, the bag filters of the dust removers 31-35 are damaged and therefore the gas is passed through a heat exchanger 9 before entering the dust removers 31-35 to heat the gas emitted from the turbine 4. The gas itself is lowered in temp. and enters the dry dust removers so that the dust is safely removed without damaging the bag filters of the dust removers. The heat energy possessed by the furnace top gas is efficiently recovered.</p> |
