PURPOSE:To set up imprinting data to required size independently of the magnification of photographing by displaying data imprinted in a photographing device and controlling the data. CONSTITUTION:An LCD control circuit 48 inhibits the display of an LCD37 by a connection signal outputted from a connection detecting circuit 50 connecting a camera 39 to a connection cylinder 35 of a data imprinting device 34 to prevent the illuminating light from an LED38 from interruption. The illuminating light from the LED38 is divided into two directions; one is made incident to a finder and the other is made incident to a photodetecting element 44. A magnification discriminating circuit 47 compares a photometric signal voltage V with previously set up voltages V1, V2. If the magnification of a photographing optical system 40 is higher than the range of proper magnification, the circuit 47 outputs a contraction mode specifying signal, and at the time of low magnification, outputs an expansion mode specifying signal, so that data can be imprinted at a proper range of size. |
