PURPOSE:To form an alloy having an optional compsn. in the prescribed region in a casting mold by floating a porous body consisting of the 1st metal into the melt of the 2nd metal poured into the mold and pressurizing the melt by a plunger. CONSTITUTION:A compression molding 5 consisting of the 1st metal such as pure Si powder or the like is first formed and is preheated. The melt 8 of the 2nd metal such as pure Al or the like is poured into the mold cavity 7 of a casting mold 6. The above-mentioned molding 5 is floated in the melt 8 and is disposed in the cavity. While the molding 5 is downward driven by a plunger 9 and is successively dipped in the melt 8, the melt 8 is pressurized and is penetrated into the porous molding 5 to alloy the 1st metal and the 2nd metal. The alloy such as Si-Al or the like having the desired uniform structure is formed in the prescribed position in the cavity 7 by the above-mentioned method without generating fracture, etc. of the molding 5.
