发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF FERRITE POWDER FOR HIGH DENSITY MAGNETIC RECORDING
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a coating film type magnetic medium effective for vertical magnetic recording having a uniform particle size and excellent magnetic characteristic by drying and baking the coprecipitate after the azeotropic dehydration with an organic solvent which is incompatible with water in the wet type coprecipitation method. CONSTITUTION:A coprecipitate of hydroxide is obtained by mixing an aqueous solution containing barium ion and iron ion as the main elements and a small amount of the one or more kinds of metal ions selected from the group consisting of titanium, manganese, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc and indium. This coprecipitate is washed by water and is put into an organic solvent which is incompatible with water. After the azeotropic dehydration, it is dried and then baked under a temperature of 650-800 deg.C. Thereby, the hexagonal system barium ferrite powder can be obtained.
