PURPOSE:To reduce considerably waste of paper due to density defect by constituting a device so that automatic density adjustment and manual density adjustment can be switched with a density adjustment switching means, and switching an automatic density adjustment mode to a manual density adjustment mode. CONSTITUTION:When an automatic/manual copy density control changeover key 206 is depressed, an automatic density adjustment mode indicator 220 is lit or extinguished. Lighting of the automatic density adjustment mode indicator 220 indicates that the automatic density adjustment mode is selected, and extinction of this indicator 220 indicates that the manual density adjustment mode where a manual density adjustment mode indicator 221 is lit. In the manual density adjustment mode, the density is adjusted by a copy density lever 207. The density level determined in the manual or automatic density adjustment mode is inputted as a pulse width level to a bias output unit. |
