PURPOSE:To register the coordinates of an original simply by forming coordinate marks on the periphery of an input drum correspondingly to coordinate marks on a digitizer for registering the positional information of the original on the input drum. CONSTITUTION:L-shaped coordinate marks 11 are formed on the periphery of the input drum 10 correspondingly to the L-shaped coordinate marks 21 on the digitizer 20 for registering the coordinates of the original. In said input drum 10, respective originals are set one by one in accordance with an instruction for layout so that each upper side and left side are matched with the coordinate marks 21 of the digitizer 20, the coordinates indicating the original number and the reading range at the reading of the original are registered, and then respective originals are set on the input drum 10 so that the upper and left sides of each original are matched with the coordinate marks 11 (A-I) corresponding to the coordinates marks 21 (A'-I') of the digitizer 20 to read out the originals. Consequently, the coordinates of a necessary part of the precisely read-out originals are registered. |
