A door in which the back edge - i.e. the edge at which the door is hinge-connected to the frame - is configured as a rotational surface 6 and the frame 2 has a shape 5 consistent herewith. The rotational axis of the door lies within the convex surface 6 such that door and frame close tightly one against the other. The problem of fingers possibly getting jammed in the door is thereby eliminated. To enable the door to be opened as far as possible, the convex surface 6 passes into a hollow 7 in the side face of the door 1 and frame 2 respectively. The hollow 7 accommodates the projecting edge 8 of the concave surface 5. A hinge for use in connection with the door comprises a pin 17, which sticks up from the edge of the door and sits in a borehole 18 in the frame. The pin 17 is preferably spring-loaded with a helical spring 12 to its pushed-out position. In order to be able to hold the pin down when the door is to be mounted, it is provided with an annular groove 20 such that the pin can be held down with a tool through a recess in the back edge of the door. <IMAGE>
