The present invention relates to a lifting apparatus for wheeled vehicles or the like. The apparatus according to the invention is essentially characterised in that it consists of a lateral lifting device 1 comprising an assembly 2 for lifting the front of the vehicle, an assembly 3 for lifting the rear of the said vehicle, which are attached together in a removable fashion, and of another lifting device 4 of the same type parallel to the first lateral device 1 and attached to the latter by the means for actuating the lifting assemblies 2 and 3, the said assemblies 2 and 3 being actuated simultaneously or one after the other in order to lift the vehicle up to a horizontal position. <IMAGE>
