PURPOSE:To speed up the coordinate conversion by providing a small capacity and high speed memory between memories and applying vector raster conversion at each point to the memory. CONSTITUTION:A two-dimension coordinate data outputted from a tablet or the like is stored to a memory 1, a vector raster converter 3' extracts a coordinate data in the memory 1 and a bit pattern corresponding to the two-dimension coordinate train in the memory 1 is formed in a picture memory 2 by bringing a bit pattern corresponding to the two-dimension coordinate train in the picture memory 2 to logical level 1. The converter 3' is provided with the small capacity and high speed memory 40, the vector raster conversion at each point is applied to the memory 40 and the write to the picture memory 2 is subject to a simple picture conversion without being attended with the conversion from the memory 40.
