PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency of a heat pump by preventing frequent driving and stopping of the pump, by using the heat pump by releasing the setting of the primary water level control, and by driving the heat pump only when the water level goes down to the secondary water level, when a large quantity of hot water is used at a time from a hot water tank. CONSTITUTION:When a large quantity of hot water is used, a signal 14 is manually put into a controller 13, which releases the setting of the primary water level in a water level sensor 4, and closes a solenoid valve 6. In this state, hot water is used from a hot water tank 3 without feeding new city water into the tank any more. When the water level in the tank 3 goes down lower than the secondary water level, a water level sensor 4 outputs a signal to the controller 13, which outputs a controlling signal to the solenoid valve 6 to open it, and drives a pump 8 and a heat pump 1 to restore the water level to the setting of the primary water level. By this operation, hot water is fed into the hot water tank 3 at the same time city water is being fed into the tank. The heat pump 1 is continuously driven until the water level reaches the primary water level. The heat pump is prevented from repeated and frequent driving and stopping operations, so that the efficiency of a heat pump can be increased. |
