PURPOSE:To obtain an effective roll reforming mechanism for pushing and pulling, and suppress-feeing a roll to an off-holding position from on, by providing a pushing and pulling device having plural master and slave hydraulic cylinders in order to take effectively a pushing and pulling stroke, and providing a lifting frame in order to move backward a reforming table when reforming a back roll. CONSTITUTION:After rolling has been ended, a lower work roll group 29, an upper work roll group 30 and an upper and intermediate roll group 31 which are insertd in a rolling mill stand 33 are placed on a rail 35 by a wheel 34 installed to the roll group 29. Subsequently, they are taken out to a position (b) provided on a rail 43 attached to a reforming table 40 from a position (a) of the stand 33 by a pushing and pulling device provided on a driving side of the stand 33. Also, the roll groups 29-31 are drawn out and held by a pushing and pulling device 1 of a position (c) on a rail 25 attached to a lifting frame 4 of an off-line holding position. Subsequently, roll groups 29', 30' and 31' of a new roll are placed on the rail 25 attached to the frame 4 by a wheel 34' installed to the roll group 29', and thereafter, inserted into the stand 33 through theposition (b) on the rail 43 of the table 40 from the position (c) of said rail 25. |
