PURPOSE:To obtain a tape cassette with rotary cover which can be used in its both sides A and B and contains an interlocking device to avoid the opening by error of the cover, by moving the rotary cover in right and left directions to release the interlocking of the cover and opening the cover with rotation. CONSTITUTION:The recessed parts 10 are provided with an L-shape and in a symmetrically continuous flex shape to a partitioning crosspiece which forms an opening part of a cassette main bofy 1 in response to a projection part 15 of a rotary cover 2. In such a constitution, an interlocking device is produced. The cover 2 is positioned at the center part of the cassette main body 1 by the function of a washer 11 with both parts 15 and 10 interlocked to each other. Then one of two legs 5 is pushed against the force of the washer 11, and the cover 2 is moved in the pushing direction. Therefore the part 15 is also moved right and left within the part 10. Thus the up/down revolutions of the cover 2 which is so far inhibited become possible.
