PRODUCTION OF GOUGING CARBON

摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce the production cost of gouging carbon by impregnating a water soluble waterproofing agent into a carbon rod and performing copper plating without drying stage. CONSTITUTION:A sintered carbon rod is porous but is impregnated with a water soluble waterproofing agent and is therefore free from intrusion of a plating liquid. If the surface of the carbon rod is plated after impregnation of the waterproofing agent and simple washing, the inside of the carbon rod is waterproofed and since the surface is not waterproofed satisfactory plating is accomplished. The process is made simple and the cost of reduction is reduced by such method.
