<p>PURPOSE:To attain accurate program searching with simple constitution by detecting a video record starting position based on the number of pulses and the cycle of a pulse train recorded on a cue track when a magnetic tape is shifted adversely. CONSTITUTION:A pulse train 51 is reproduced by a cue head 10 in the rapid traverse and rewind modes of a magnetic tape T, and a CPU17 counts the number of pulses of the reproduced train 51. Thus it is possible to search the video recording start position as long as the train 51 is formed regularly. However the train 51 is discontinuous on a cur track 50 in case the procedures from stop to record or from record, temporary stop and record are repeated or coexist. This secures no accurate program searching. In this example, however, the program searching is possible despite a discontinuous state of the train 51 since the video record starting position is detected based on the number of pulses and the cycle of the train 51.</p> |
