PURPOSE:To reduce manufacturing cost of a pole plate while improving utilization efficiency of impregnation liquid by a method, in which a fixed amount of an active material is used for impregnation of a sintered nickel substrate by an electrolytic impregnation method followed by recrystalization of impregnation liquid for recovering an impregnation agent while performing chemical impregnation with residual liquid after recrystalization. CONSTITUTION:A fixed amount of an active material is used for impregnation of a sintered nickel substrate by an electrolytic impregnation method in a state of high temperature followed by returning the impregnation liquid having obtained the fixed concentration of ammonium ions by said electrolytic impregnation to a room temperature for recovering the impregnation liquid by recrystalization while using the residual liquid after recrystalization as the impregnation liquid according to a chemical impregnation method. Thereby, a impregnation cycle in the chemical impregnation can be reduced, while it is not required to recover impregnation agent from the impregnation liquid by a troublesome method as formally, thus simply enabling it to be utilized effectively. As a result, it becomes possible to simplify the manufacture of a pole plate and reduce the cost thereof. |
