PURPOSE:To make a display of a counter easily visible so that a counter quantity can be recognized easily, even if a tape is in a running mode of a constant speed and a high speed, by constituting so that a display variation quantity of a tape counter display part is varied in accordance with the running mode. CONSTITUTION:When a constant speed running mode of sound recording and reproducing is set by an operating button 1, a tape 4 runs at a constant speed under a control of a controlling circuit 2, also a switch 12 is switched to a contact (a) side, a counter 7b and a decoder 8b are coupled directly, and a display of a display part 9 is varied to 000, 001 and 002. On the other hand, when high speed running mode of quick traversing or rewinding is set, the switch 12 is switched to a contact (b) side, and a gate 11 is interposed on the way. The gate 11 is controlled by a signal which has brought a pulse of a pulse generating circuit 6 to quinary count by a counter 10, therefore, the display of the display part is varied to 000, 005, 010, 015,.... |
