PURPOSE:To produce an ultrasonic transducer which gives no bad effects to the ultrasonic waves by cutting and dividing piezoelectric ceramics into elements after temporarily fixing the piezoelectric ceramics on the jig, connecting leads, temporarily setting a cylindrical frame, and eliminating a frame body and a jig after pouring some pouring backing materials into the frame and solidifying. CONSTITUTION:A surface of a square plate-like piezoelectric ceramics 1 is coated, and after te ceramics 1 is temporarily fixed on a metal jig 2 and with said surface downward; for example, the ceramics 1 is cut and divided into strips by laser working. After soldering and wiring a lead 3 onto each elements 1a-1f of ceramics 1 divided into the strips on the upper face of the jig 2, arranging a frame 4 whose internal circumference contour has the same shape as the ceramics 1 so as to embracing said ceramics 1 on the jig 2, and pouring liquid backing materials 5 with sufficient viscosity to solidify it after fixed time, the frame 4 and jig 2 are removed and array-like transducer is taken out. |
