The multi-coloured marking pen is an instrument for writing and drawing. Monochrome marking pens are already known and are available in various colours. If it is desired to use these to give a text a multi-coloured treatment, for example with one character red and the next yellow, each change of colour requires the marker pen to be set aside and the next picked up. What is new about the coloured marking pen is that a plurality of coloured tips are kept available in one instrument for direct use. Thus a text or the like can now be given a continuous multicoloured treatment with a single pen. The coloured tips are located at a short distance apart. They are however angled away from each other at their ends, so that only one coloured tip touches the writing surface at a time. <IMAGE>
