PURPOSE:To sweep off efficiently the filter cake by suspending a couple of filter cloth hanging horizontal rods respectively between both side parts of a filter plate, hanging a filter cloth laid over the surface of the filter plate on one corresponding cloth filter hanging horizontal rod, and fixing the upper end to the upper end part of the filter plate. CONSTITUTION:Supporting arms 14 and 14 of adjoining filter plates 13 and 13 are inclined by opening action of the plates after the expression is finished, and filter cloths 20 and 20 laid over the opposing surfaces of the filter plates 13 and 13 are hooked by hooks 17 and 17 and released. Since the hooks 17 and 17 are connected with coil springs 16 and 16, the filter cloths 20 and 20 are stretched without looseness. The head part 24 of a filter cloth vibrator is put on the fixing rod 19a of a filter cloth hanging horizontal rod 19, and the filter cloth hanging horizontal rod 19 is vibrated up and down or forward and backward by driving the filter cloth vibrator. The stretching and loosening of the filter cloths 20 and 20 are repeated to sweep off the filter cake.
