The container, consisting of a bottom wall (10), two side walls (20, 30), a rear wall (40) and a forwardly inclined front wall (50), has a gripping depression which is open downwards on the front wall (50). To the sides of this gripping depression, hollow reinforcement profiles are formed by straight walls (23, 24, 25, 33, 34, 35, 53a, 53b). The end strips (53a, 53b) of these hollow reinforcement profiles are inclined upwards and to the rear. Apertures (27, 37, 45, 46, 57a, 57b) serve for the optional insertion of a dust flap which closes only the front aperture or of a dust and transport flap which closes the entire open part. Both flaps rest with all the peripheral sides on surfaces of the container so that dust is prevented from entering. Due to the fact that there are no groove guides, no dust trap points occur and the container can easily be cleaned. <IMAGE>
