The invention relates to a current limiting arrangement which is in the form of a disc, and is thin, by means of which the energy supplied to a load, for example an electrical incandescent lamp, is reduced, which prevents current surges occurring during switching on and off, and in consequence increases the life of the load. The arrangement consists of a flat resistor element, in the form of a disc, which is arranged in the opening of a perforated insulating-body disc and is electrically connected to two metal plates which are bonded onto the insulating body on both sides. The arrangement can be inserted into the socket of an incandescent lamp without technical modifications, and can thus be connected into the circuit of the incandescent lamp.
